Covid-19 Relief Rules Contained in the American Recovery Plan Act
The Rules for COBRA have changed again as of April 1, 2021
The American Recovery Plan Act of 2021
Many QB's (Qualified Beneficiaries) may benefit from extra time to elect or pay for COBRA Coverage due to the National Emergency in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Failure to pay your premium in full by the due date can result in suspension of coverage. Your coverage will NOT be reinstated as "active" until the premium is paid current and the insurance company has retroactively reinstated your coverage.
If you have questions about utilizing the extended time frame or would like to now make a late election or payment please contact us at Help@MoneyWiseSolutions.com.
